The artist-in-residence outcome exhibit, “Here is a gift,” featured painted portraits of two chiefs of the First Nations in the Whitehorse area of the Yukon territory that were gifted to their respective communities. At a live, collaborative painting at the Arts Up Front festival in Whitehorse, the public responded to the question, “What is your personal connection to the land you live on?” The body of work dealt with overarching themes of reconciliation, immigration, and belonging.
